We are sending a direct plea out to you, our wonderful supporters, who have stood by us in the past through donations or rehoming one of our rehabilitated rescues.

We really would not be sending this unless it is absolutely urgent but the Sanctuary is under more pressure than ever before and desperately needs your help.

Woodlands costs over £1,000 per day to keep operating, and as well as the continued impact of the cost of living crisis both on our heating, food, and vet / medicine bills, we have also had the busiest and most demanding start to 2024; Kitten season alone has seen 8 litters and 31 cats / kittens admitted into Woodlands - our biggest intake in nearly 20 years of rescuing.

With each litter averaging at least £1,600 in food and treatment costs (excluding emergency vet care, or heating), and only generating £475 in rehoming donations this level of demand has significantly strained our reserve funds.

Your donations help us to rescue and rehabilitate cats and kittens like Fred and Wilma. Found abandoned at a local factory, covered in dirt and grease, malnourished and significantly underweight, and at one stage highly unlikely to survive, these two are now well on the road to recovery. This could not happen with your support.

Thinking of getting a purry pal?

Although we have already rehomed over 57 cats so far this year, the increase in strays following covid and the cost of living crisis, means that we are still near full capacity.

Every cat that we rehome is place for another that we can rescue, so if you or someone you know is thinking of getting a cat, then please rehome a rescue from us.
